OUR DAILY SCHEDULE
ARRIVAL AND BREAKFAST
Children participate in quiet activities and breakfast. As children finish breakfast, they can visit Learning Centers until most children have arrived and are finished eating.
MORNING CLASS MEETING /BIBLE HISTORY- PRAYER
Teachers and students gather together in a circle to begin the day. They find out who is in class for the day, take care of “housekeeping activities” such as calendar, daily message, and jobs. We read a Bible History and after that every child is encouraged to share their prayer requests and they pray together leaded by their Teacher.
Children will engage in structured activities to strengthen gross motor development through a variety of activities including games.
CIRCLE AND STORY TIME
Children will come together for the morning routine activities as well as featured whole group activity. Each day teachers read books that expand on the themes or units that their classes are studying. Language experience stories may be created using the students’ own creative ideas.
LEARNING CENTERS - LITERACY, SPANISH, MATH and MANIPULATIVES, SCIENCE, CREATIVE ART.
Children will participate in activities in the learning centers, small group activities will be implemented with a few children at a time, focusing on skill building and observational assessments. The goal is that all children will have participated in the small group activities by the end of the morning.
TAKE IT OUTDOORS / PLAYGROUND
Children enjoy structured and unstructured play outdoors focused on cognitive development (get thinking activities) and physical development (get moving activities).
Children select from a variety of activities, such as looking at books and playing with manipulatives.
Children wash their hands, help set tables, and prepare to eat lunch family-style.
WHOLE-GROUP TIME & READ-ALOUD
Children come together for a featured whole-group activity.
